Let's Get Started - Beginning Quilting

Learn quilting the Patched Works way. Join us in an open workshop beginning quilting class that fits YOUR schedule. Follow our tried and true beginning quilting lesson plan.

Precision 1/4" piecing
Basic strip piecing
Half square triangles
Flying geese
Sashing blocks
Applying a border
Layering and pin basting your quilt top
Basic machine quilting
Binding your quilt
Move at your own pace. Take as many or as few sessions as you need. Complete a sampler quilt with the full curriculum.

Cotton Club Block of the Month

Join Lisa in the creation of Fourty-Five 5" Blocks.
Cotton Club was created around an antique border print from the mid 1800's, Paula Barnes' collection mixes antique coordinates in rich tones of madder and Turkey red, both commonly used in the 1800s. These are beautifully paired with Bonnie Blue's signature brown, to create 45 different blocks in their stunning BOM quilt. Finished quit is 78" X 85".

Sylvia’s Bridal Sampler

We’ve broken the 140 block sampler down to 4 blocks a month for 3 years. $2.50/month includes a fat quarter, fabric cutting guide and paper piece foundations. New blocks are available the first Wednesday of each month. We started in February 2010 but you can jump in any time; we have fabric and pattern packs ready to go for anyone who would like to catch up!

Jo Morton Club Series 11

Strip Club

Cut it Up!

Turn your scraps into your very own charm packs, jelly rolls & fat quarter packs to use with the very popular pre-cut patterns that are on the market today.

Batik Club
Instructor: Julie Karasek
Join us for an hour of fabric, inspiration and fun. Receive 12 fat quarters (or upgrade to 12 half yards) of hand selected Artisan Batiks by Robert Kaufman Fabrics. All members receive a project sheet for use with your fabric packet as well as a 20% discount off of batiks on club day. Bring show and tell to share with the club.

Cancellation and Registration Policy:
We may find it necessary to cancel a class if minimum enrollment is not met. We do require a minimum of 3 participants for most classes. If there are not at least 3 participants, we will contact you and let you know that the class has been cancelled as soon as possible. At that time, you will be given the choice of picking another class, store credit, or a refund.
Snow Days: We will refund, credit or reschedule any session held on a day where the Elm Brook Public School District has issued an official snow day.
